GenQuip – The Green Innovators
GenQuip was incorporated in 1998 and is located in Port Talbot, South Wales. At the turn of the millennium, the company engaged in a strategic alliance with the specialist trailer builder Groundhog (UK) Ltd. Together, these two leading firms jointly manufactures and markets a range of advanced mobile and static welfare units, each compliant with the Health and Safety at Work for Welfare Regulations 20-25.GenQuip continues to focus on developing a line of products that are individually selected to bring premium cost benefits to their clients, whilst delivering sustainable benefits to the wider the environment.
Genquip Groundhog in partnership with KJR Training are proud to announce that the service and maintenance training programme for Groundhog mobile welfare units is now CPD accredited.
We believe Service and maintenance training should be conducted in a professional manner and cover all aspects of the Groundhog mobile welfare unit. The training takes place either at our factory in South Wales or at the client’s locations. After training is finished, a certificate and full operator and training manual is given to every engineer. We also supply a bank of A3 posters reminding the depot staff of the key service areas.
What is CPD Accreditation?
Continuing professional development (CPD) is the intentional maintenance and development of the knowledge and skills needed to perform in a professional context.
CPD obligations are present in most professions, there are over 5 million professionals across the UK who are required to undertake CPD training every year.
Most companies and organisations now prioritise them because they ensure a constantly developing workforce
Undertaking training that is accredited by the CPD Standards Office means you will receive a recognised CPD certificate and learning tool and completion of the activity.
Accredited providers come through a thorough and extensive assessment process that was developed from large scale CPD research in collaboration with professional bodies and associations.
There are many benefits to Continuing Professional Development at all levels.
From an individual, organisation or industry as a whole, CPD is essential to keep skills and knowledge up to date.
The regular implementation of CPD enables progressive structured improvement.
Benefits of CPD – Individual
An individual benefits from Continuing Professional Development by regularly focusing on how they can become a more competent working professional.
Regularly updating knowledge and skills helps remain competent and effective within role.
Training and learning undertaken increases confidence and overall capability. CPD is generally based around individual requirements to compliment career aspirations.
CPD enables you to adapt positively to changes in work/industry requirements. Planning CPD helps be more efficient with time, and recording CPD properly provides evidence of professional development (CPD records can be useful for supervision and appraisal meetings).
Benefits of CPD – Organisational
Providing CPD enables you to become a knowledge bank to key stakeholders of your organisation.
CPD accredited training courses, workshops and events allows professionals to use the learning time towards individual CPD requirements. Certified CPD helps reach new audiences and opportunities.
CPD ensures individuals are kept informed, up-skilled and remain proficient to change in practice.
Providing Continuing Professional Development to external delegates will help support individual CPD obligations at professional bodies and associations.
This is a significant benefit to those constricted by time, resource and budget.
Providing CPD accredited learning benefits your organisation through recognition and increased brand perception.
Internal use of CPD encourages and promotes a learning culture for your organisation, leading to a more fulfilled workforce and ultimately staff retention.
